06/21/2010 LONE STAR OVERNIGHT ANNOUNCES LEADERSHIP TRANSITION
Rick Jones to Assume Role of President and CEO

AUSTIN, TX — Lone Star Overnight, a Texas-based regional overnight package delivery company, announced that Ed DiSalvo has made the decision to retire from his role as President and CEO. He will be succeeded by Rick Jones, who is currently the company’s Chief Operating Officer.

DiSalvo, a 36-year veteran of the transportation and logistics industry, assumed the top post at Lone Star Overnight in 2007 and oversaw the company’s service territory expansion that began in 2008.

“I am extremely proud of what our entire team has accomplished during my tenure,” said DiSalvo. “I have the utmost confidence that under Rick’s guidance, the company will continue to build upon the solid momentum we’ve created and improve our reliable, efficient regional overnight delivery service even more.”

“Under Ed’s leadership, Lone Star Overnight developed and implemented several strategic and technological improvements that further enhanced our impressive service and operational capabilities for the benefit of our customers,” stated Jones. “He provided outstanding vision as we undertook the most aggressive expansion in our history while simultaneously leading the organization through challenging economic times. We wish Ed a well-deserved healthy and happy retirement.”

Jones, who has spent his entire career in transportation and logistics, has more than 26 years experience in operations, engineering and technology support. He held several senior leadership positions with UPS, UPS Supply Chain Solutions and Sanmina-SCI prior to joining Lone Star Overnight in 2007. Since then, Jones has been instrumental in expanding the company’s geographic footprint to include full-state coverage of Texas and upgrading technology to increase shipment visibility for customers.
